Overview

8100 and 8500 at a glance

Both series are manufactured to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section XIII, for UV stamped applications. They share the 9100's soft seat and fully guided disk design, with consistent set pressures and a field proven tight lip seal.

The 8100 is designed for air/gas and liquid service from 15 to 2,000 psig. The 8500 is designed for air/gas service from 15 to 1,650 psig.

How it works

Watch the valve pop and reseat.

A spring holds the disk on the seat until system pressure reaches set. Then the valve pops to full lift, relieves, and reseats once pressure drops through the blowdown.

Pressure check

Will a 8100 / 8500 cover your set pressure?

Type your set pressure. If it falls outside the range, we'll point you at the series that covers it.

What's inside a 8100 / 8500

The Auto Seat features that do most of the work in this series.

Non-rising stem cutaway

Non-rising stem

Stops torque from the adjustment screw reaching the disk and seat, in a smaller frame.

Low spring rates cutaway

Low spring rates

Pops open more freely without over stressing the spring, for a more accurate set pressure.

Fully guided spring cutaway

Fully guided spring

The spring can't bow when compressed, so set pressure holds.

Mechanical stops cutaway

Mechanical stops

The same lift, and the same capacity, every pop.
