Lip seal seat
Flexes under pressure to seal tighter against the disk.
Spring loaded · soft seat
A state of the art soft seat, high flow rate design, and an industry leader for safety, reliability, low maintenance and cost effectiveness. Its fully guided disk and field proven tight lip seal hold a consistent set pressure.

Overview
The 9100 is manufactured to the requirements of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section XIII, for UV stamped applications in air/gas and liquid service. Its soft seat and fully guided disk design outlasts the competition, giving consistent set pressures and a field proven tight lip seal.
A tighter seal reduces leaks and limits product loss, which lifts productivity and safety on site. Every new 9100 is verified and tested in Brisbane before dispatch.
How it works
A spring holds the disk on the seat until system pressure reaches set. Then the valve pops to full lift, relieves, and reseats once pressure drops through the blowdown.

Orifice sizes
Circles are drawn to scale by Mercer's actual orifice area. Switch model to see its range.
Diameters and areas are Mercer's actual orifice sizes from its published model specifications, which run larger than the API 526 letter areas. Relieving capacity also depends on the certified flow coefficient, so confirm sizing with the workshop.

Auto Seat Technology®
The Auto Seat features that do most of the work in this series.

Flexes under pressure to seal tighter against the disk.

Keeps the disk aligned with the nozzle so it seats and seals on every pop.

Stops torque from the adjustment screw reaching the disk and seat, extending valve life.

Pops open more freely without over stressing the spring, for a more accurate set pressure.
